TAGGART MAKES SONS MOVE

Saturday 21st June 2014

MORTON utility player Scott Taggart has agreed a 1-year deal with Sons gaffer ian Murray and today made the switch from the League One club to the Bet Butler Stadium.

Scott made 62 appearance for the Cappielow club over a two-year period grabbing a couple of goals in the process.

Boss Ian Murray is happy with his new signing.

He said: “Scott can play in a number of positions and will offer us versatility.

“He can cover across the back four or play in midfield.”

22-year old Scott is a graduate of the youth academy at Hibs and made his first team debut for the Easter Road club on 7 May 2011, as a substitute against Hamilton Accies.

Between 2010 and 2012 whilst still at Hibs, Scott was put out on loan on three occasions – once to Ayr United and had two spells at Stranraer.

He joined Morton in July 2012 but failed to agree terms for season 2014/15 resulting in his move to the Sons.
