Thursday 23rd May 2013
IT was a great evening for Dumbarton FC at the annual Irn Bru Scottish Football League (SFL) awards event on 23 May 2013, with three nominations and two wins secured.
Gaffer Ian Murray won SFL Manager of the year, to popular acclaim, following his remarkable, galvanising role in helping to turn around the season and keep Sons in the First Division.
Meanwhile, Bryan Prunty’s spectacular overhead kick against Livingston claimed the SFL Goal of the Season award.
The boys were also nominated for SFL Team of the Season but, along with First Division champions Partick Thistle, were just pipped at the post by Second Division champions and Ramsdens Cup winners Queen of the South.
Everyone at the Club sends hearty congratulations to all the nominees and winners.
