IN an amazing turnaround at Livingston this afternoon, Dumbarton claimed a massive, last minute 2-1 victory to keep their play-off chase alive.
Sons went into the break 1-0 down after a listless performance in the opening 45 minutes.
The unmarked Nejc Mevlja did the damage for Livi with a header from a corner on 26 minutes.
But Dumbarton staged a great flightback in the second half.
It looked like it might go unrewarded until a penalty from Chris Turner and a well taken goal from Chris Kane gave the visitors a memorable win and three vital points.
There was plenty of controversy in the game too, with Livingston’s Jason Talbot being sent off for a violent challenge, another loud penalty claim for Dumbarton denied, and gaffer Ian Murray sent to the stands for dissent at half time.
Next up for Sons is a midweek trip to take on local rivals Greenock Morton, before a home game against Alloa Athletic on Saturday 5th April.
