DUMBARTON Football Club today took delivery of the hardware that will allow fans to stream Sons’ games when the season gets underway in October.
Pixellot’s 4-axis automatic HD camera technology has been installed at the stadium, to allow SonsTV to stream live matches ahead of the new campaign.
Keen to ensure that fans of Sons and their League One rivals aren’t locked out of the action, the installation will ensure that supporters can continue to cheer on Dumbarton – and visitors to the Rock – remotely, if games are to be played behind closed doors or in front of restricted crowds due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
The system should be up and running in time for the Sons’ first matches of the new season.
The plan is for commentary to be provided by experienced volunteers. As ever, the club is hugely grateful to those who are willing and able to contribute to important ventures like this.
The club has been really impressed by Pixellot. Their system looks good to use and the quality is excellent.
The aim is to bring broadcast quality coverage of Sons games to fans locked out by the pandemic, or who are just keen to tune in from overseas.
This is a great new prospect for Dumbarton FC. We are delighted to be able to offer this service for and our supporters and are really looking forward to the season starting
