STEVIE FARRELL IS DUMBARTON’S NEW MANAGER

Saturday 29th May 2021

DUMBARTON FC is delighted to confirm the appointment of Stevie Farrell as our new manager.

After an extensive and carefully-conducted recruitment process, the decision was made to bring Stevie back to the club.

The 48-year-old has signed a two-year deal as manager, and will bring his assistant Frank McKeown with him from Stranraer.

Stevie previously served us as assistant manager from May 2015 to January 2017, before being handed his first senior role as a manager, at Stair Park.

He has since spent four years in charge of the Blues and most recently led them to the League Two playoffs at the end of a truncated 2020/21 season.

Stevie is an extremely well-respected and highly thought of manager and all at the club are very pleased to welcome him back.

Dumbarton chairman John Steele said: “We have worked hard this week to have a new manager in place and Stevie was the outstanding candidate for the role.

“He knows the club from his previous time here, and is very highly thought of as a manager. We very much look forward to working with him.”

Welcome back to Dumbarton Stevie, and a warm welcome to Frank too.
