DUMBARTON FC would like to apologise to fans and subscribers who, due to circumstances outwith our control, experienced technical problems during the broadcast of the Betfred Cup tie against Dunfermline Athletic last night.
While we have been running numerous tests over the past few weeks, a technical issue occurred at service providers Pixellot that impacted some subscribers that Pixellot could not resolve.
Pixellot have issued the following statement:
“Pixellot is extremely sorry that many fans were unable to access the live streams that took place tonight.
“The cause of this is currently unknown, despite continuous efforts to bring the platforms back online from the moment we became aware of the issue.
“Multiple services that we were providing were affected. We will continue to investigate this and as soon as the cause for this is known, we will communicate this accordingly.”
Unfortunately, the same issue impacted at least four other Scottish clubs last night.
While it will be of little consolation to those impacted, the game is now available to watch for those who subscribed. We are carrying out a detailed review with Pixellot to understand what went wrong and why some fans received the transmission and others did not.
We are committed to ensuring any subscribers unable to access the game are recompensed.
