Dumbarton Football Club can this evening announce that Ross MacLean has departed the club on a temporary basis.

The winger has paused his contractual terms for the time being due to work commitments and will go on a sustained period of unpaid leave.

‘Chucky’ has played on 23 occasions for the Sons this season, netting three goals in the process.

Boss Stevie Farrell commented: “I am disappointed to lose Ross but I completely respect that his working life must take priority right now and we completely support his decision.

“The door will remain open for Ross to come back in the future but for now he is stepping away and we wish him every success.

“With Ross leaving us that does allow the potential to bring another body in and we will be working hard to do so.”

All at Dumbarton FC wish Ross the best and look forward to seeing him again.
