DUMBARTON face Bonnyrigg Rose at the Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium tonight, in a William Hill Scottish Cup third round replay.
Greg Aitken takes charge of the game. This will be the second time this season he has been referee at a Sons match. Last time out he officiated at the 1-0 loss to Hibernian in September 2016. Sean Carr and David McKniff are the assistants.
Manager Stevie Aitken is expecting a hard game tonight and has warned his players what to expect.
“Bonnyrigg were the better team in the first game, no doubt about that, but we’re happy to have another go at getting to the next round.
“It’ll be a tough encounter and despite our troubles in terms of squad availability, we’ll be ready for the match.”
It’s a case of the walking wounded for Sons, as the squad’s resources are stretched to the limit for tonight’s game.
Daniel Harvie will be missing from the line-up as he’s ineligible and he’ll join Grant Gallagher and Frazer Wright on the sidelines.
Mark Docherty, who failed a fitness test before the 2-1 win against Queen of the South at Palmerston on Saturday, remains doubtful. But there could be better news on Sam Stanton.
