SONS manager Ian Murray today made some changes to his first team squad with two players leaving the club.
Moving on are midfielders Steven McDougall and Hugh Murray.
Both players are expected to join Clyde when the transfer window opens.
Hugh joined the club in August 2013 from Premiership side Partick Thistle for an initial loan period until the January 2014 transfer window, when he secured his release from Thistle and joined Sons on contract until the end of the 2013-14 season.
In June he signed a new one-year contract at Dumbarton.
Steven, who lives in Glasgow, spent eight years in the Rangers youth system until he joined Airdrie in 2005 — having been coached by Bobby Russell and played in the same team as Ross McCormack and Mark Twaddle.
He made his Airdrie debut on May 7 2005 when he was still just 18. He went on to make 135 appearances and score four goals for the Diamonds.
He famously bought his own way out of his contract at Airdrie United to join Dunfermline Athletic on a two-year deal in June 2009.
We wish both Steven and Shug all the very best in their careers going forward.
