IAN Murray today moved to strengthen his management team by bringing former Hibs colleague Colin McLelland as the club’s sports scientist on a consultancy basis.

Colin (pictured right) was head physio at the the Easter Road club for 8 years before leaving last year to start his own company.

Having worked with Ian in the past, he will bring a range of skills to the squad that the gaffer feels will benefit the players.

Murray said : “Colin will get to work immediately and on Monday, he’ll be putting the players through a fitness test so that he can determine how to best get the benefits of his experience.”

McLelland is dual qualified as both a Sports Scientist and a Chartered Physio.

We caught up with him today at the Bet Butler Stadium just after it was announced that the game against Raith Rovers had been postponed.

He tild us : “I’m delighted to be at DFC to help Ian and of course the players.

“Sports science is an increasing part of the modern game and I hope that I can bring my experience to good use.”
