OUR dedicated SonsTV channel will return next season, hoping to show as many Dumbarton matches as possible.
Operated by the Sonstrust with the co-operation and skills of David Jenkinson, the facility proved to be very popular last season.
David, who dedicated a lot of his free time to helping out the club with footage being available for coaching analysis, is keen to get the new campaign underway.
Speaking to us today, David said : “It was my first season helping out last year and I have to admit that I loved every minute of it.
“It’s good to be involved and it’s going to be another exciting time ahead with what will be a competitive league and we have a new management team too.
“Sons TV will continue on You Tube and I’m looking to get as many matches filmed as I can, however there may be a few that I will miss due to family commitments, but I’ll get coverage of the majority of the games.
“Speaking with Alan Findlay and the guys who help with DFC media stuff, we are hoping to expand the channel a wee bit with some promo videos plus getting behind the scenes filming with player interviews if we can.”
David admits that actual football analysis is not part of his skill set, but he’ll do what he can to help Stevie Aitken and his footballing staff.
He said: “Mark (Spalding) did all the clever stuff last season. It’s not my area of expertise but I will be able to make match highlights and indeed the full game available to the gaffer as quickly as I can for their use.
“I’ll discuss this with him as soon as I can.”
Sons first home pre-season friendly is against Hearts on July 9th and David will be there to capture the game.
