ANDY Graham was named as the fans choice as player of the year at the Sonstrust’s annual awards party on Saturday night.
The Sons captain, pictured right, was also chosen by his team-mates as the club’s player’s player of the season, with manager Ian Murray heaping praise on the popular centre-half.
It was a packed Chivas Suite at the Dumbarton Football Stadium that saw nine awards presented in an entertaining ceremony to celebrate another successful season in the SPFL Championship.
Now in its sixteenth year, the end of campaign party proved popular and a fantastic night of dancing and fun followed the awards.
In addition to honouring the players, retiring kit man Stevie Hunter was presented with a signed top from the present Sons squad plus a bottle of champagne to mark his long service to the club.
The aforementioned Mr Graham rocked the house later on with a superb rendition of Deacon Blue’s Dignity whilst at the end of the night, Stuart Findlay raised the roof with a fine repertoire of Sons songs that endeared him to the fans.
