We’ve been drawn to face Highland League side Keith in the second round of the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup.
The Kynoch Park side overcame Stonehaven 2-1 yesterday, and will travel south to The Rock – sponsored by Marbill Coaches on Saturday October 24 with kick-off set for 3pm.
Last season the Maroons finished seventh in the Highland League, and they currently sit 15th in the table with 12 matches played.
We’ve met twice before on Scottish Cup duty, with this the first meeting of the sides in 50 years. Five decades ago Sons ran out 3-0 winners at Boghead back in January 1976, courtesy of goals from John Bourke and Ian Wallace.
The only previous match came back in 1937, with Sons 3-1 winners – also at Boghead.
Full details on ticketing will follow on the dedicated match page.
