WINGER Matthew Reilly has completed a deal with Dumbarton for the full season, having played as a trialist against Forfar Athletic on Saturday.
The 20-year-old was most recently with St Mirren in the senior ranks, but had spent last season on loan with junior outfit Glenafton.
Having been released by the Buddies, he was set to play for Glenafton again this season, but due to the uncertainty over Covid-19, the Loch Park outfit have decided to withdraw from the West of Scotland League for the 2020/21 campaign.
Manager Jim Duffy moved to bring him to Dumbarton, initially on a trial basis, and his performance against the Loons was sufficient to earn him a deal.

The gaffer said: “Matthew did well against Forfar and what was probably our closest goalscoring chance came from him, a swerving shot which the keeper did well to save.
“He impressed while on loan to Glenafton last season, and he gives us a very positive option going forward.”
Matthew will wear the number 17 shirt for Sons this season.
Many thanks to Hawthorne Boyle, who have sponsored Matthew’s home and away jerseys for the season.
