PROMISING St Johnstone striker Chris Kane today joined Sons on a month long loan deal.
Manager Ian Murray had expressed a desire to add to his squad before the transfer window opened yesterday and is delighted to have captured the highly rated youngster.
Kane recently earned himself a new contract at McDiarmid Park after excellent form in the Perth club’s under-20 side and he comes to Dumbarton highly recommended.
Subject to paperwork clearance, Chris will be added to tomorrow’s squad to face Greenock Morton and the manager also confirmed that he hoped to announce a further addition later today.
He said :”We are obviously happy to have Chris on board.
“Tommy Wright at St Johnstone praises him highly and we can give him a platform for his undoubted ability at the Bet Butler Stadium.
“All papers have been lodged with the SFA and the SPFL, so all being well, we’ll have him available for tomorrow.”
In other news, Owen Ronald’s loan spell at Berwick Rangers has expired and he now returns the Sons.
