DUMBARTON eased through to round three of the Scottish Cup, where they will play Aberdeen at home, after easing past Highland League side Huntly.
Memories of an undesirable cup result against the same club in 1992 were wiped out by a convincing victory 29 years later.
The opening goal was scored on 32 minutes when Jaime Wilson (pictured) finished off a PJ Crossan assist across goal.
And 10 minutes later Dumbarton had a second, as Ryan McGeever powerfully headed home a corner by Ross Forbes.
After 68 minutes it was 3-0 in fine style, Wilson lobbing the goalkeeper to finish.
Ross Forbes then added the fourth on 75 minutes after good play by Adam Frizzell played him in.
The tie with Aberdeen will take place on the weekend of Saturday, April 3. In the meantime, Sons’ attention now switches to this Saturday’s League One match at home to Peterhead.
