SONS sensational at stenny

A clinical first-half performance secured three points for Dumbarton at Ochilview this afternoon.

After being under pressure in the opening stages of the half, Sean Crighton headed the visitors in front before a quick fire double from Ross MacLean had Sons cruising.

James Hilton made it four before the break as Stevie Farrell’s men strolled into a comfortable position.

The Warriors hit back after the break as Matty Aitken netted a brace but it wasn’t enough to prevent Dumbarton’s first three points on the road of the season.

Sons rise to top of cinch League Two after four match days ahead of the visit of East Fife next weekend.
