SONS emerged from this afternoon’s tussle with Brechin City with a 2-1 victory, secured in a dramatic last ten minutes.

Having gone behind in just 2 mins when Gallacher pushed a Sinclair cross into his own net, Sons managed a late second half flurry to win the game.

With Smith in the Brechin City goal in top form it looked as if Dumbarton were heading for defeat, with the custodian denying Walsh and Froxylias in quick succession.

But the game turned on its head when Lynas was red-carded for a lunge on David Wilson and soon Sons found themselves level.

Mark Stewart grabbed his first league goal for Dumbarton with just 8 mins remaining, firing home a Nade touch.

Nade provided his second assist of the game when he set up Froxylias for a dramatic winner with 4 mins remaining.

Sons now sit seventh in the division and welcome Inverness Caley Thistle to the YOUR Radio 103FM Stadium next Sat.
