AHEAD of the final six games of the season, Dumbarton are still very much in control of their own fate after a boost from Dundee United last night.
The Arabs beat Ayr United 2-1 at Tannadice, meaning that the Honest Men still trail eighth-placed Sons on goal difference in ninth place having now played their game in hand.
It is all still to play for in the final weeks of the season, with the league table as it stands on the right hand side of your screen.
Dumbarton are at home to Morton (who are away to Hibs on Wednesday evening) on Saturday in the latest vital challenge. Adding to what is at stake, St Mirren and Ayr United, the two clubs below them, meet at the Paisley 2021 Stadium.
Theoretically, Saturday could end with five teams, from fifth place to ninth, separated by two points.
That would be ahead of Saturday, April 8, when as fate would have it, all six teams involved in the battle for survival play each other.
As far as Sons are concerned, though, all eyes this Saturday are on the Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium.
Be there to support the team in a match which, like the other remaining fixtures, has huge significance.
