SONS READY FOR BRECHIN

Monday 15th July 2013

DUMBARTON travel to the University of Stirling playing fields tomorrow evening, to take on second division opponents Brechin City.

This match at 7.30pm on Tuesday 16th July is officially designated as a closed doors friendly, as it is not being played under the control of the SFA.

The Brechin game is the latest part of Sons’ preparations for the upcoming season since the squad began training together again at the end of June.

No stone is being left unturned in terms of thoroughness as Dumbarton get themselves into shape for the challenges that lie ahead.

Manager Ian Murray commented: “This has been a busy and positive month for us. We need to be stretched in readiness for the start of the season, but at the same time we want to avoid injuries.

“The game against Partick showed that we need to concentrate throughout the game, but we are not going to let a disappointing first 45 minutes affect us,” he added.
