SONS MUST KICK ON, SAYS POSITIVE BOSS

Monday 12th January 2015

DUMBARTON’S boss was stoic in defeat after a 5-1 hammering from runaway Championship leaders Hearts on Saturday.

But now all efforts are focused on the coming away match against Raith Rovers.

“We had chances in the first half when we had the wind behind us,” acknowledged Ian Murray after the Hearts game.

“Then when it went to 2-0 before half time, when we were going out against the wind, we knew it was going to be a hard ask for us.

“You have to be ruthless against these teams, if not it will come back and bite you… That’s what happened here,” he added.

Earlier, Murray observed: “Although we lost the previous week when we played Rangers at Ibrox, there was a lot there for us to be positive about.

“We are pleased with the progress we are making and it is a case of trying to kick on now in the second half of the season.”
