SONS lost 4-1 against Dundee this afternoon in an incident packed match at the Bet Butler Stadium.
A dreary first-half made way for a second period that had five goals and a sending off.
Peter MacDonald gave the away team a 49th minute lead, firing home a free kick that was deflected beyond the despairing Ewings.
Sons striker Colin Nish, already on a yellow-card, was then controversially booked for a second time to earn himself a sending-off, before Ryan Conroy doubled Dundee’s lead with a stunning strike from distance.
With 20 minutes remaining, Peter MacDonald scored his second and Dundee’s third ahead of Garry Fleming countering for Sons.
Gavin Rae ended any doubts about the final outcome with a crisp 18-yard drive with three minutes remaining.
