SONS LOSE 2-0 TO FALKIRK

Tuesday 25th March 2014

DUMBARTON suffered a 2-0 defeat away at Falkirk tonight, after a generally lacklustre performance.

Gaffer Ian Murray decided on significant adjustments with his starting line-up for this game, making five changes.

The difference between the two teams in the first half turned out to be a straightforward goal from David McCracken.

Overall, Sons lacked edge up front and came under sustained pressure from a fast Falkirk attack when dropping back from midfield.

Things did not improve after the break, with Falkirk increasing their lead thanks to a goal from Rory Loy a quarter of an hour before the end. After that there proved to be no way back for Sons.

The disappointment of the evening was compounded by Hugh Murray being sent off at the end for receiving a second yellow card.

Next up for Dumbarton is an away trip to Livingston on Saturday 29th March.
