SONS HOLD ON FOR VITAL WIN

Tuesday 25th February 2020

DUMBARTON have picked up a priceless three points tonight, with Morgyn Neill’s second half goal the only one of the game at home to Clyde.

The first half was evenly contested but saw few chances, with Chris McStay going close with an early opportunity for the visitors.

Stefan McCluskey drove an effort past in Sons’ closest first half call.

After 67 minutes the home side led. A Joe McKee corner bounced in the area and Neill drilled the ball home.

Despite having to withstand some strong pressure from Clyde, Dumbarton hung on for a vital victory.

They now move on to Saturday’s game against Raith Rovers.
