DUMBARTON struggled to get out of first gear against a confident Livingston at the YOUR Radio 103FM Stadium this afternoon, going down 3-0 to first half goals.
Livingston has several chances in the opening 25 minutes. Dimitrios Froxylias also came close for Sons, with his shot skimming the top of the bar and net.
On 34 minutes the visitors took the lead after a back line scramble. Lee Miller was the man who struck the ball past Scott Gallacher.
Two minutes later Ryan Hardie latched on to a through ball and executed a superb chip over the Dumbarton keeper from outside the box to make it 2-0 to the Lions.
On the stroke of half time Livi added a third goal when De Vita beat Gallacher to the ball and prodded it Home.
After the break the visitors continued to pile on the pressure. Sons had their chances too, but the gulf remained.
Next up for Dumbarton is a trip to Tannadice on Tuesday night to face Dundee United.
