Saturday 9th February 2019
SONS have no league game today with Raith Rovers on Scottish Cup duty, meaning that Jim Duffy’s team will need to play the Fifers on a re-arranged date.
But the Dumbarton boss is not giving his team the weekend off – far from it as the squad will be taking part in a bounce game in preparation for next Saturday’s trip to Stair Park.
It’ll be a chance for the manager to give players returning from injury much needed game time and a further opportunity for the new signings to develop relationships on the pitch.
Sons are unbeaten in the last two league matches and the air of positivity needs to be carried into the match with Stranraer.
“We need to build on the results at Airdrie and against Montrose”, said Jim.
“It’s a pity about our game being off today, but we won’t be wasting the day.”
