SONS FACE FIRST HOME CHALLENGE

Tuesday 19th July 2016

DUMBARTON return to the Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium tonight to play East Fife in both teams’ second Betfred Cup sectional match.

Both teams drew their ties on Saturday, but while Sons lost their shootout at Forfar, the Fifers defeated Dundee at home after a 1-1 draw and so took the bonus point.

Tonight’s game kicks off at 7.45pm and supporters are reminded that season tickets are NOT valid. Admission will cost £12 for adults and £6 for concessions.

This season’s second edition of Sons View, the club’s matchday programme, will be available priced £2.50, and 50/50 draw tickets will also be on sale for £1.

This will be the second consecutive year the sides have met in this competition, having drawn 1-1 in last year’s first round before East Fife won on penalties. Kevin Cawley, now with Alloa, got Sons’ goal.

Craig Charleston is the referee for this game, assisted by Ivan Stankovic and Liam Butler. Mr Charleston handled three Sons matches last season – one win and two defeats.

Jamie Ewings and Darren Barr remain out for Sons, but otherwise gaffer Stevie Aitken has a full squad to choose from.
