SONS boss Ian Murray today confirmed two new additions to his growing squad for season 2013/14.
Returning to the Bet Butler Stadium, this time as a signed Dumbarton player, will be Paul McGinn.
McGinn played 14 times for the Sons last season whilst on-loan from SPL side St Mirren scoring two goals and his signature on a one-year contract will please many, not least the gaffer himself.
Ian said: “To have persuaded Paul to join us is a massive boost as he’s a quality player.
“Having turned down the chance of staying with St Mirren we moved quickly and I’m obviously delighted he’s joining us for the new season ahead.”
The manager also announced that highly rated youth academy graduate Ally McKerracher has agreed to sign his first professional contract at Dumbarton.
“He is definitely one for the future,” said Murray. “Ally has been getting positive reviews from all the coaches during his time with our YDI and we are happy that he’s committed himself to Dumbarton.”
Ally joins Joe Coleman in the first team squad, with Joe having completed his own deal last week.
Both players are pictured below with CEO Gilbert Lawrie.
