SONS were worthy winners of today’s first game of the New Year against Greenock Morton.
Goals from Bryan Prunty and new signing Chris Kane paved the way for a victory that has taken the club 15 points ahead of the Cappielow side.
Sitting on 24 points, Dumbarton are 7th in the division, moving up one place from last week.
Manager Ian Murray heaped praise on the players.
He said: “We played better last week against Dundee but didn’t get the breaks and the players deserve credit for working hard and getting the three points today.”
Donald Fullarton’s photos and Simon Barrow’s full report of the game are now online.
