SONS AND RAITH DRAW 3-3

Saturday 22nd February 2014

SONS maintained their unbeaten run with a 3-3 draw against Raith Rovers at the Bet Butler Stadium this afternoon.

An entertaining game, both sides gave their all in a pulsating encounter.

Colin Nish put Sons ahead on 24mins by slotting home from close range but Raith got on level terms just 5 mins later.

A superb Chris Kane turn and shot restored Dumbarton’s lead on 37mins which they held until half-time.

Baird pulled Rovers level on 57 mins and Smith put the Kirkcaldy side in the lead just after the hour mark.

But Dumbarton were not to be denied a point as Scott Agnew volleyed home on 64 mins.

The draw maintains Dumbarton’s unbeaten run as we now look forward to a trip to Palmerston next Saturday.
