DUMBARTON’S victory over Stranraer last week saw them make it four consecutive home wins for the first time since they won promotion to Scotland’s second tier.
And should they beat St Mirren on Saturday, they will make it five victories on the bounce at home since earlier in the same season.
Prior to the current run, the last four-match winning sequence at what is now the YOUR Radio 103FM Stadium came in April and May 2012.
It started and finished with 2-1 wins over Airdrie, the latter being the first leg of the promotion play-off final.
In between those games were wins over Brechin City (4-2) and Arbroath (2-1).
The last five-match winning home run was in January and February 2012, starting with a 3-2 victory over Arbroath.
That win was followed by results against Brechin City (1-0); Albion Rovers (1-0); Stirling Albion (4-1) and Stenhousemuir (3-0).
Bryan Prunty (pictured) scored in all of those games except against Stirling. His goal against Stenny was an overhead kick – his first in a Sons jersey, but certainly not the last.
However, that wasn’t the start or ending of the last six-game sequence. The match before it started was a 1-1 draw with Forfar Athletic; the one after it a 2-0 defeat to Cowdenbeath.
Yes, we do know when Sons last won six in a row at home, and no, we’re not publishing it yet. Wait until the fifth happens – hopefully on Saturday.
