Dumbarton earned a 9-8 penalty shootout victory over Kilmarnock ‘B’ in the SPFL Trust Trophy this evening.
Carlo Pignatiello had Sons ahead at the interval whilst Gary Wales netted for the hosts after the break.
The game went to penalties and a perfect shootout had the first 16 penalties finding the net until Harry Broun made the decisive save.
Sons enter the draw for the third round which takes place at 1.00pm tomorrow afternoon.
