DEFENDER Scott Smith is now a free agent with manager Ian Murray deciding not to offer the former Hibs full-back a new contract.
Scott was freed by Hibs at the end of season 2012/13, and the manager moved quickly to persuade him to sign as a Sons player.
Scott captained Hibs under-19s during the 2010/2011 Clydesdale Bank Under-19 League season and scored six goals. He has also played for the Scottish under-16, under-17 and under-19 teams.
Primarily a left back, the former Boroughmuir pupil can also operate as either a central defender or holding midfielder.
He previously had loan spells at Brechin City and at East Fife.
Everyone at DFC wishes Scott well in his future career.
