SONS captain Andy Graham is getting ready for the new season and is relishing the prospect of playing at Easter Road, Ibrox and Tynecastle.
With training re-starting this weekend, the big fella, who is about to start his third season at Dumbarton, is fully aware of what the opportunity will bring to him and his team-mates.
“The fixture list re-inforces how competitive the division will be next season.” said the 31-year old.
Following a consistent season in 2013/14, with 42 appearances in the famous Sons shirt, Andy admits that he’s looking forward to getting back into action and is confident that Dumbarton can hold their own.
“It’s amazing to think that Dumbarton will be facing Hibs, Hearts and Rangers all inside a month”, continued the skipper.
“It’s exciting times for everyone connected to the club and can’t wait for the season to start.”
Sons head to Starks Park to open their SPFL Championship campaign on Saturday August 9th and then entertain Queen of the South at the Bet Butler Stadium on 16th August.
Both games have 3pm kick-offs.
