DUMBARTON skipper Andy Dowie has agreed terms on a new one-year deal and will be a Sons player again for the 2018/19 season.
The popular team captain enjoyed an impressive debut campaign on a personal level and was named Sonstrust Player of the Year, as voted by the fans.
Manager Stevie Aitken is delighted to retain the captain’s services.
The gaffer said: “Andy was a worthy choice by the fans as their player of the year and it’s a boost to have our captain signed so early.
“It goes without saying that we aim for next season to be more successful, and he is a big part of our plans.
“It is a short close season and we have to move fast to have more players on board — so our fans should watch this space.”
