STEVIE Aitken has bolstered his squad for the end of season run-in with the addition of Irishman Paul Heffernan.
The much travelled striker joins the Sons as a free agent, after leaving Queen of the South in January.
He made 7 appearances (4 starts) at Palmerston and having scored 1 goal, the winner at home to ourselves in November (15).
34-year-old Heffernan has penned a short term deal at the Cheaper Insurance Direct Stadium, and boss Stevie admits he’s delighted with his latest capture.
He said: “I’m really happy that we’ve managed to get Paul signed up, especially after the disappointment of losing Sebastian.”
Paul will wear the number 21 shirt for the rest of the season.
