ROBERT Thomson today agreed terms with manager Stevie Aitken and becomes the gaffer’s first signing of the summer as team building begins.
The striker, who turns 23 later this month, was with Brechin City in season 15/16 and scored 15 goals in 35 appearances.
His former clubs include Dundee United and Dunfermline Athletic.
Manager Aitken commented, “We’ve been watching Robert for some time now and I’m delighted that he’s agreed to join us at Dumbarton for the new campaign.
“Robert will give us options in the striking department. He’s big, strong and athletic and I’m sure he’ll do well for us.
“We are working hard at getting other deals over the line and things are progressing well, however the season is still active for some clubs and we will be patient with our targets.”
