STRIKER Robert Jones has joined Dumbarton from Stranraer on a deal until the end of the season.

Well over six feet tall, the forward also counts East Fife and Albion Rovers among his former clubs at senior level.

Aged 24, he was also with BSC Glasgow before stepping up to the SPFL ranks.

He has three goals to his name for Stranraer this season and came on as a substitute in their recent William Hill Scottish Cup tie away to Rangers.

Manager Jim Duffy said: “Robert caused us problems when Stranraer were at our ground last month and we’re pleased to have him on board.

“He offers height and physical presence upfront and I’m looking forward to seeing how he does with us.”

Welcome to DFC Robert!
