MANAGER Aitken’s squad building continued today with the news that goalie Jamie Ewings has extended his stay at DFC.
Jamie, who lives in East Kilbride, signed for Sons in June 2011, and is entering his fifth season at DFC.
Since joining Motherwell in 2002, he has amassed considerable experience. He was at Fir Park until 2005, when he joined Albion Rovers for a two year stint.
In 2008 he played for Drogheda United, and is best remembered there for his outstanding performances in goal in the UEFA Champions League games against Dynamo Kiev.
He returned to Cliftonhill for the 2009-10 season, and in 2010-11 was at Alloa Athletic. He joined Dumbarton in June 2011 and made a number of first team appearances but missed some games because of work commitments.
