Dumbarton Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Senegalese midfielder Mouhamed “Sena” Niang following his departure from Cove Rangers.

Niang, 24, joins on a one-year deal and is the fifth summer signing to check in at the Rock after Craig McGuffie, Matty Shiels, Michael Miller, and Cammy Clark.

“Sena” joins the club after agreeing to a mutual contract termination with his previous club Cove Rangers and the competitive midfielder will join up with his new teammates in time for pre-season.

He has made over 100 senior appearances, including a stint down south with Hartlepool United, and is no stranger to the William Hill League 1 having turned out for Alloa Athletic, Montrose, and Partick Thistle. The latter with whom he collected a League 1 winners medal, in the 20/21 season.

Dumbarton manager Stevie Farrell revealed he is delighted to get the deal over the line “I am delighted to secure the services of Sena, he fits the profile of our additions so far in that he is another one who has recent league 1 experience and will understand the competitiveness of the the league in the season ahead.

He is a player who can play in a number of positions including Centre Back and the midfield area, so he will be an excellent addition to the group.”

Welcome Mouhammed to the Rock by becoming his official shirt sponsor for the season ahead, with home and away opportunities available. Contact
