Sebastian Osei-Obengo’s move to Dumbarton has broken down with the Ghanaian unable to complete last week’s announced deal.
A disappointed Stevie Aitken explains : “We’ve had problems obtaining the proper clearance for Sebastian to play for us and reluctantly we’ve cancelled the agreement.
“Because Seb hasn’t got professional status from previous clubs, under SPFL rules we cannot play him in Championship matches.
“Both ourselves and the lad are very disappointed at the outcome.
“We’ve invited him back to train with us in the summer.
“All at the club wish him well and thank him too for the efforts made during his short time at DFC.”
But it’s not all bad news on the player front.
The gaffer may announce another new face before the end of the week as talks continue with a striker are ongoing.
