SEASON ticket sales at Dumbarton have so far been steady for season 2018/19 – and every one of those making a purchase is giving themselves a chance to make their own special memories.
Now we want you to join them.
When you buy a season ticket, you are giving yourself the chance to witness moments that you’ll be recounting to others years later.
And we want to use these stories to help convince more fans to join the Sons of the Rock.
The story below was submitted to us by supporter David Kemp, who even years later, still remembers this as a special game.
Dumbarton v Berwick Rangers – Saturday 12th November 1994
“Dumbarton are trailing 0-2 at home to league leaders Berwick Rangers as darkness falls on a miserable afternoon.
I hear Player/Manager Murdo shout to the bench to get Mooney on. Martin emerges from the dug out and his impact is almost immediate as he pulls one back. He then goes for goal and it deflects off Craig Valentine for the equaliser.
In injury time, Martin Mooney he then assists Martin McGarvey for the winning goal.
The goal changed the season and we went on to another I was there moment at Forthbank six months later.
Does this, and our other story featured yesterday, inspire you? We hope so.
Buy or renew a season ticket for Dumbarton and, like David, you will have your own special moment at the football to recall many years later.
If you ARE already a season ticket holder and HAVE already renewed, thank you for your continued support. Now there is something else for you to do – bring a pal.
Let your football-loving friends know that there’s a place in their hometown where dreams and memories are made, with more to come. Let them know there is so much to be gained from supporting Dumbarton, and that we’d LOVE to have their support.
If you ARE already a season ticket holder and HAVEN’T renewed yet, we trust that you will renew and we look forward to your return. And as above – bring a pal if you can!
If you AREN’T a season ticket holder, or are one of the pals that we ask our current season ticket holders to bring – please do come along. As a taster, we have our home Betfred Cup ties, which are pay at the gate anyway. Hopefully the bug will bite you there and then, but if not, keep coming – because one day, it will.
Thank you for your support.
