SONS have been paired with Aberdeen at Pittodrie following today’s televised William Hill Scottish Cup quarter-final draw.
Golf pro Stephen Gallacher helped make the draw at Tannadice this afternoon following the last tie of the fifth round between Dundee United and St Mirren.
Ties in the quarter-finals are scheduled to take place on Saturday 8th March.
Manager Ian Murray commented: “It’s great for everyone connected with the club to be in this stage of the competition.
“It wasn’t a classic game against Alloa yesterday but cup games are all about getting through.
“We’ve got a tough draw for the quarter final. In fact it couldn’t be tougher, but it’s a game we will look forward to.”
Sons were last in this stage of the competition back in 1979 when Partick Thistle, who later went on to contest the final with Rangers, won by a single goal.
