SONS will be hoping to secure their place in the quarter-finals of the William Hill Scottish Cup tomorrow when they take on Alloa Athletic at Recreation Park.
Having already won 5-1 at the ‘Recs’ in recent weeks, Ian Murray’s squad go into the game in a confident mood but the boss is wary of complacency creeping in.
He said:”It’s a big game for us and to be part of the cup competition at this stage is a great boost.
“We’ve been playing well and are on a good run and the boys know the potential rewards of a win tomorrow as we’d then be into the quarter-finals.
“It won’t be easy though and we will need to be at our best to progress.
“We are all looking forward to the game and with our fans turning up in numbers, it should be a cracking atmosphere.”
Alloa Athletic will have new manager Barry Smith in charge for only his second game since being appointed, having watched his side draw 1-1 with SPFL Championship favourites Dundee last Saturday.
Team News: Garry Fleming, who was shown two yellow-cards in midweek against Livingston in the SPFL Championship and as a result was sent-off is available for selection but will serve a one-match ban against Falkirk next week.
Otherwise the manager has a full squad to choose from.
Supporters Notes: The Sonstrust fans buses leave from Dumbarton Castle St/High St at 1pm and both are full. Check the trust website here to find out what bus you are travelling on.
Entry prices are £14 for adults and £7 for concessions.
