Monday 8th February 2016
DUMBARTON or Dundee will play either Kilmarnock or Rangers in the quarter final of the Scottish Cup.
Tonight’s draw at Hampden had to be stopped following an error with Sons set for a home tie after Celtic had been drawn at home to play Dundee Utd in the first tie.
Dumbarton and Dundee came out as the home side for the second tie but the ‘away’ ball had burst open meaning that SFA President Alan McRae called a halt to proceedings.
In the re-draw, Sons or Dundee will now face an away tie at either Rufby Park or Ibrox.
Quarter-final ties will be played over the weekend of 5th March.
No date has yet been set for Sons 5th round replay against Dundee.
