FOR the second time this year, Sons youth player David Connolly has been called up to train with the Scottish international under-15 squad later this month.
Striker David Connolly represented the club in a similar exercise in January and has impressed national coach Scot Gemmill with his application.
Head of Youth Richie Salveta said : “This is great news for David and also the club.
“I think he is the only player from a Scottish club who isn’t signed with an Elite Level Club Academy Scotland team. This is testament again to the hard work and professionalism of our Academy Coaches.
“There is no doubt David is a technically gifted player whom we are delighted to be able to work with in our Academy.
“
He is a real young talent and if he continues to work hard on all aspects of his game he will do well in football.
“This should be a real boost to all our Academy players as there are others who could emulate David’s achievement.”
