DFC’S first annual Burns Supper will take place on Saturday 9th February at the Bet Butler Stadium.
A superb night of food and top class entertainment in the Chivas Suite awaits.
All performers on the night will be local and are giving their services free of charge. The event is open to everyone.
Chairman for the evening is John Doran who is a very familiar face in local after-dinner speaking circles.
John Hardie – a renowned Burns Speaker and an authority on all Burns works, will deliver “The Imortal Memory”of Rabbie Burns
Providing the “Toast to the Lassies” will be Bill Kean who is a past president of Dumbarton Burns Club.
Janette Barnes, founder member of the Dumbarton People’s Theatre will reply on behalf of the “Lassies”.
Providing further entertainment will be Robert Phillips who will have the audience in stiches with his rendition of “The Twa Dugs”.
Husband and wife singing duo John and Lesley Young will also perform a selection of the Bard’s work and John will also showcase “Tam O’Shanter”.
And finally we will have the singing talents of Ainslie Hamill on show. Ainslie won first place for her efforts in the 2012 Royal National MOD.
Tickets are priced at just £20 per person and are available from reception at the Bet Butler Stadium.
Start time is 7.30pm.
