Ryan Blair has become the latest first-team player to sign a new contract at Dumbarton Football Club, extending his stay at the club until the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
The midfielder arrived in the Summer after leaving East Fife in a career that has also seen him appear for the likes of Dunfermline Athletic, Falkirk and Swansea City.
The 27-year-old has, when available, been an ever present for Sons this season having made 37 appearances in all competitions.
He netted his only goal so far for the club with a free-kick against Elgin City in February and joins teammates David Wilson and Ross MacLean in signing new two-year deals in the last few days with Brett Long, Finlay Gray and Ryan Wallace also set to remain at The Rock next season.
Boss Stevie Farrell commented: “Ryan has quietly been one of our most consistent performers this season.
“His willingness to do the ugly side of the game and allow his teammates to get up the pitch is vital to the way that we want to play here.
“With all of that in mind, getting him signed up was hugely important for us and we are delighted he has decided to sign a new deal.
“Getting Ryan, David and Ross all signed up on two-year deals gives us a solid start and with the guys who we already have contracted for next season, we are in an incredibly promising position.
“We are confident of tying up another couple of deals in the coming days.”
