THE draw for round three of the William Hill Scottish Cup takes place at Hampden Park this Thursday, 29th October at 10am.
Sons will join the competition at this stage, alongside 16 Round Two Winners plus 10 Clubs from the Scottish Professional Football League (League 1) – Airdrieonians, Albion Rovers, Ayr United, Brechin City, Cowdenbeath, Dunfermline Athletic, Forfar Athletic, Peterhead, Stenhousemuir and Stranraer
The other 5 Clubs from the Scottish Professional Football League Championship will be – Falkirk, Raith Rovers, Livingston, Alloa Athletic and Greenock Morton.
Through to the next stage from round two played on Sat 24th Oct are – Inverurie Loco Works, Cumbernauld Colts, Queens Park, Buckie Thistle, Fortmartine Utd (who defeated Clyde 2-0), Elgin City, Arbroath, Annan Ath, Huntly and Linlithgow Rose.
Nairn County and Wick Academy drew 2-2, Turiiff Utd v Fraserburgh was postponed, as was the Fort William v Cove Rangers tie. East Kilbride and Forres Mechanics fought out a 1-1 draw and Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale held Montrose to a 1-1 draw ensuring the replay at Links Park next month.
Third round ties are due to be played on Saturday 28th November 2015.
