ROLLER COASTER SATURDAY

Sunday 2nd April 2017

IT’S almost time for Roller Coaster Saturday.

Next Saturday, April 8, all of the Championship’s bottom six clubs play each other, making the three relevant fixtures vital to all of them.

Dumbarton’s opponents St Mirren go into the game off the back of a resounding 6-2 victory over Ayr United yesterday.

The Honest Men are at home to Queen of the South, who gave themselves more breathing space yesterday by beating Dundee United 4-2.

Completing the trio of important fixtures in the battle for survival, Dunfermline Athletic face Raith Rovers in a local derby match.

The Pars got a bit further clear of the bottom two yesterday by drawing 1-1 with Hibernian, while Raith’s 1-0 reverse at Falkirk moved them back below Sons into eighth place.

The up-to-date league table is on the right hand side of your screen. With those fixtures, it’s guaranteed to look different by around 5pm on Saturday.

But Sons can only take care of their own match in Paisley, and a large travelling support would be much appreciated.

The bus will leave Dumbarton town centre at 1.30pm and seats can be booked by contacting Tommy Hughes at memsecy@sonstrust.net

After the bus journey, what follows is set to be a roller coaster.
